CAS REJECTS VINESH'S PLEA

Court of Arbitration of Sports (CAS) rejects Vinesh’s petition
against disqualification from the Olympics. This marks an end to the hope of
Vinesh getting a joint silver medal. PT Usha, the president of Indian Olympic
Association is shocked by the decision of CAS against the International Olympic
Association and United World Wrestling.
Phogat was eliminated from the Paris before the final game
when she weighed 100 grams more than her category. Generally, she player under
53 kgs but for Olympics she chose to compete in the 50kgs category. It was 7th
August when Vinesh filed petition against Olympics’ decision of disqualification.
